hello ladies,

you are always so helpful so I figured I'd run this question by you!

today I fell in love with the cream blush Penny Lane by Nars, but I can't afford to pay $25 for a blush. SO I was wondering if anyone knows of a dupe or something to close to this blush? I have read that the maybelline dream mousse and the nyx cream blushes are good, but I am not familiar with them so I was hoping someone would know off the top of their head. the site describes the color as soft peach so I figure I should be able to find one close.

thanks for any help!

*edit* does anyone who has acne-prone or oily skin find that cream blush makes you break out? I've never really experimented with them before because I was worried about this

I always check ebay for things before shelling out a bunch of money! :)

be careful that seller has a lot of low feedback for selling used products, or the wrong product. i would get a dupe if i were you.

yeah I noticed that...plus, it only comes out to about $6 cheaper after shipping, which isn't enough savings in my opinion- I'd rather just buy it new ya know

atta girl! consume wisely!

oh and shipping is like 5 bucks, so you really would only be saving 7. sorry i'm leery of buying skincare/makeup on ebay. i mean, they don't even spell "penny lane" right in the description, that should be a red flag.

I'd definitely ask for pics of EVERYTHING before buying cosmetics on eBay. The Nars blush for that listing does not look legit, but it could just be the picture. I pulled out my own Penny Lane from my makeup bag just now to compare the two and the print on the front is nowhere near as thick as the one in the listing. It's also kinda strange how the seller didn't display a picture of the actual blush to see if it is BN and authentic.

With eBay, if it seems too good to be true, it most likely is, but you can definitely get some steals every once in awhile!

yeah I found all of that very strange as well. I'm definitely going to pass on that!

NYX cream blush is really nice, you could find a similar color if you don't need something the exact same

The Dollar Tree by me has the Maybelline Dream Mousse and the Wet N Wild silk finish blushes are pretty nice too (those can be found at Walmart or CVS). I don't know if the colors would be an exact match to the NARS blush because even though a blush looks like another on a computer screen or even in person it might show up on your skin differently than the NARS.

whoa I'm going to have to stop by dollar tree! thanks for the tip :)

No problem :D They also have the eyeshadows there too!

Penny Lane actually isn't peach at all. I bought it a few years ago and it was a brownish-peach. Revlon has cream blushes.

*I meant to type brownish-pink

A great dupe for nars penny lane is NYX cream blush in boho chic. They are very similar, you should give it a go! Plus, I have very oily skin and it never broke me out.
